2010 Cheat Lake Farmers’ Market Rules
1. The 2010 Cheat Lake Farmers’ Market will be held on Monday evenings from 4pm until 7pm from June 7th until a date in late October (TBA) at the Chestnut Ridge Church parking lot near the Cheat Lake exit off I-68. Vendors should be set up and ready to sell at the time the market opens. The Market Manager will direct the vendors to the locations where they should set up.
2. One of the goals of the Cheat Lake Farmers’ Market is to support local agriculture; therefore, all products displayed for sale must have been produced by the vendor (either the actual producing individual, a family member, a member of a co-op, or an employee of the vendor). Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
3. A non-refundable fee of $25 will be required to participate for the full season of the 2010 market. Monies from this fee will be used for advertising and to cover the cost of permits required by the county health department. Vendors who only wish to participate for part of the season may pay a fee of $5 per market day.
4. Allowable products include fruits, vegetables, herbs, locally produced baked goods, dairy products, eggs, honey, canned goods, soaps and related products made from local ingredients, meat, woodcrafts, wool products, and potted plants. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. The market will also allow local non-profit organizations to set up booths at the discretion of the Market Manager.
5. Vendors are responsible for compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, and local codes.
6. Vendors must remove all trash from their space at the end of each market day.
Please bring this form, along with your $25 fee, with you to the market. Checks can be made out to Human-Animal Bond. By signing below you verify that you (the vendor) agree to the 2010 Cheat Lake Farmers’ Market rules:
